Built to Last.
Made Responsibly.
sustainability
— For a European furniture manufacturer with over three decades of bespoke production, sustainability is not a separate initiative. It is reflected in how we design, source, and manufacture — prioritising precision, longevity, and material integrity.
We are equally aware that manufacturing carries an environmental footprint. Our approach is to reduce that impact through considered decisions — from sourcing and production efficiency to designing interiors that endure beyond short-term cycles.

Where Quality
Meets Responsibility
— The most sustainable piece of furniture is the one that does not need to be replaced.
Over 35 years of bespoke production, we have learned that quality and responsibility point in the same direction. We manufacture to order — every piece is produced for a specific project, with no speculative overproduction and no excess inventory.
The materials we source from certified supply chains are selected not only for compliance, but for long-term performance. Controlled, made-to-order production reduces material waste while ensuring consistent, high-quality results.
Sustainability at Megaholz is not a separate objective. It is what responsible manufacturing looks like.
Our Initiatives
— Six practices. Built into production since the beginning.
Responsible Material Sourcing
We prioritise suppliers with transparent and, where applicable, certified supply chains, ensuring traceability and accountability from source to finished product. Materials are selected not only for compliance, but for durability, performance, and long-term environmental impact within demanding commercial environments.
Made-to-Order Production
All furniture is produced specifically for each project, eliminating speculative manufacturing and reducing excess inventory. This made-to-order approach ensures materials are used efficiently, aligns production with actual demand, and supports a more responsible use of resources across the entire manufacturing process.
Waste Reduction
Material efficiency is addressed from the earliest planning stages. Optimised cutting layouts, nesting strategies, and controlled production processes minimise offcuts and reduce waste before it occurs. This approach not only lowers material consumption but also improves consistency and overall production efficiency.
On-Site Renewable & Efficient Energy
Solar installations generate electricity directly at our facility, while heat pump systems provide energy-efficient heating and cooling across offices and warehouse areas. This combined approach reduces reliance on external energy sources and supports a more efficient and lower-emission operational footprint.
Efficient Logistics & Installation Planning
Deliveries, production sequencing, and on-site activities are carefully coordinated to reduce transport frequency and avoid unnecessary movements. By aligning logistics with project timelines and installation phases, we minimise disruption on site while improving overall efficiency across international project execution.
Durability & Lifecycle Thinking
We design and manufacture interiors for long-term use in demanding commercial environments. Robust materials, replaceable components, and considered construction methods extend product lifespan, reduce the need for frequent refurbishment, and support more sustainable lifecycle performance across each project.
